Atomic Cowboy: Reviews & Ratings
This was our first time at Atomic Cowboy and we loved it. Izzy, our server was so sweet and she gave us great attention. The best thing was the food which we enjoyed greatly. The biscuits were delicious and the coffee bar was neat. The oldies music gave great atmosphere. We for sure will go back. Try the Bourbon Blueberry jam it was out-of-this-world delicious. 10-stars.
If you’re heading to the Denver Biscuit Company in Centennial (located right off S. Quebec St.), come hungry. This spot is part of the "Atomic Cowboy" trio sharing space with Fat Sully’s Pizza and the Atomic Cowboy bar which means the vibe is always high-energy, laid-back, and perfect for a weekend morning. The Centennial location has a great "modern diner meets neighborhood bar" feel. It’s spacious, but like all DBC locations, it gets busy fast. The self-serve coffee station is a lifesaver while you wait, and the staff is famously efficient at moving the crowd along. It’s the kind of place where you can comfortably wear a hoodie, grab a mimosa, and settle in for a serious meal. The "Star of the Show" (The Food) The biscuits here aren’t just a side dish; they are massive, flaky, buttery pillows that serve as the foundation for everything. Loved the food! Service was a bit slow but the food and free coffee bar was pretty fantastic. That AMAZING bacon. Woweeeee! I don't know what kind of crack they put on those waffle fries, but wow!
Amazing brunch in the Centennial area; the waiting time to get a table can be a little long on a weekend, but it’s totally worth it. I recommend getting the ‘Biscuits and gravy’ smothered in both homemade sausage gravy and vegetarian mushroom gravy. Their mushroom gravy and sausage patties are very tasty, big portions even for the hash brown patties. Place can get loud, with a very funky and hectic atmosphere, but we were happy with the fast and attentive staff and service.
Atomic Cowboy absolutely lives up to its reputation. From the food to the atmosphere to the service, everything came together for a great dining experience. I ordered the Beeler Biscuit, and it was outstanding— rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor. My fiancée went with a BYOB (Build Your Own Biscuit) with a side of gravy, which was just as impressive. The portions are huge, so definitely come hungry or be prepared to take some home. Quality and quantity are both top-notch here. To drink, I had the Smokehouse Bloody Maria, which was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of heat to make it spicy without being overwhelming. It paired incredibly well with the biscuits. Service was another highlight. Rees, our bartender, was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. His suggestions were spot-on and added to the overall experience. Despite being very busy, the atmosphere was pleasant and surprisingly not loud, making it easy to enjoy conversation without feeling overwhelmed by the crowd. Overall, Atomic Cowboy is a must-visit for anyone who loves hearty comfort food, well-crafted drinks, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back.
After watching some videos online, we knew we had to come by The wait was about 15 minutes, which was not bad but they did have corn hole outside to play with while you’re waiting. We were seated inside. Chris was our waiter. We ended up getting one of the whole cinnamon rolls to share as an appetizer and that did not disappoint so good so fresh you could taste the fresh dough. We also got biscuits and gravy. We got the Lola, the Franklin, the chicken cordon bleu, and one other biscuit sandwich unfortunately I cannot remember the name, but I have pictures. We got the hashbrowns and the cheesy grits with hot sauce as well. I love when you sit down that they bring you water so you don’t even have to ask they let you know that you can go to the bar and order your own drinks or you can go up to the coffee bar, which has all different coffee mugs and serve yourself so cool. The food took a few minutes to get there which was fine because we were visiting, but everything came out was fresh and delicious. The biscuits were like no other the gravy had a little bit of a bite to it and was really good all the other sandwiches everybody enjoyed we hardly had any leftovers. Will definitely be coming back 10 out of 10. Totally recommend bathrooms are clean there’s plenty of parking. Thank you Chris for absolutely amazing service
Atomic Cowboy is always awesome. Great food, cocktails, and service. We also love the self serve coffee bar!! We've had a bunch of good food here. The shrimp and grits, and the pot pie are staples!! We've h even had the pizza before and it was massive and delicious!! Atmosphere is fun and funky. Definitely a cool spot to stop in for breakfast.
Met a friend here for late lunch. I'd been to the other location uptown, so was really happy to see a location down south. Portions are big, service was average (meaning not terrible but not over the top), atmosphere comfortable. I had the Cubano sandwich which was pretty good while my friend had the Lola, and we spilt hash browns and each had a cocktail - and the bill totaled up to around $60.00, a third of which was the two cocktails. Parking was plentiful which is always a big plus for me and why I avoid the Broadway location
